Shipping connector requirements
This integration guide supports physical goods. The physical goods product category is in Early Availability status. Features in Early Availability status are only available in production to a limited number of customers based on fit with specific use cases. For more information about Early Availability status, see Product lifecycle phases. If you would like to use the product capabilities described here during the Early Availability phase, contact your AppDirect technical representative.
The Shipping Connector API is not enabled by default. AppDirect must enable the following features on your marketplace so that you can to sell and ship physical goods:

Physical goods product types—Enable the creation and fulfillment of physical products and hardware services.
- You can see this setting at Manage > Marketplace > Settings > Settings | Shipping.

Shipping—Must be configured for each marketplace.
- You can see this setting at Dashboard > Billing | Purchases.

If you do not see these settings in your marketplace, contact your AppDirect technical representative for more information. See Physical goods documentation for a description of physical goods and shipping.
In addition, make sure that you meet the following requirements:
- You must provide AppDirect with a base URL for your shipping connector.
- AppDirect must enable the appropriate version of checkout for your marketplace.
