This integration guide supports physical goods. The physical goods product category is in Early Availability status. Features in Early Availability status are only available in production to a limited number of customers based on fit with specific use cases. For more information about Early Availability status, see Product lifecycle phases. If you would like to use the product capabilities described here during the Early Availability phase, contact your AppDirect technical representative.

The specifications in this shipping integration guide take into account the following limitations:

• Parcel size and weight—Although the marketplace currently does not track parcel size and weight, hard-coded default values are provided in a parcel object that applies to all parcels. The purpose is to ensure future compatibility between the marketplace and the connector. See Data objects for more information.
• Parcel consolidation—This is managed differently based on whether shipping fulfillment is provided by a shipper or a dropshipper. See Shipping integration for a description of shippers and dropshippers.
  • Shippers—No parcel consolidation. Each item must be shipped in an individual parcel.
  • Dropshippers—Dropshippers can consolidate parcels.
• Zones—Zones are managed differently based on whether shipping fulfillment is provided by a shipper or a dropshipper.

  • Shippers—You can configure one shipper for each zone.

  • Dropshippers—You can configure overlapping shipping zones.
